San Francisco native Marcia began writing poetry as a teenager and performing her work in coffeehouses and bookstores in the early 70's. She has traveled and lived throughout the Northwest developing and performing her unique style of poetry, which has grown over the years to include music, dance and masks.

It has been said that Marcia Moonstar and Poetic Magic transports you into a magical realm with poetry and music. The poems on Moon Magic are from a deeply personal, emotional and spiritual place. Many of the poems on the CD can be found in my poetry book Dancing The Dance of Self. The poems Raven Moon and New Moon Rising , evokes the mysterious powers of the Moon. You can experience my sensual and emotional side in Night Is A Gypsy Woman and Re-Emerging. The music of the talking drum on Spirit of our Ancestors takes you back to a time when we were more connected to the earth and our ancestral past. It is my hope that you enjoy and are inspired by this unique blend of poetry with new age and world music on "Moon Magic"
