ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Driving Through the Twilight" is the title track off my first Moon Traveler album released in 2009.

"Driving Through the Twilight" is a mash of my greatest influences, mostly 70's/80's progressive rock and heavy metal, Animusic, and various video game soundtracks. This tune was written during a crazy part of my life when I was moving between my hometown of Ogden, Utah and Levelland, Texas. By late 2007, I had been attending Weber State University for a few years attempting to complete a Criminal Justice Degree. A good-sense, family pressure sort of thing, I was never convinced that staying in Ogden, getting a "normal" education, and starting a "normal" career was what I wanted. Music had firmly grabbed my soul by then and deep down, I knew that I wanted to BE a musician. By January 2008, I decided to venture to Levelland, Texas, on the recommendation of my best friend, to attend South Plains College's school of Commercial Music. I put WSU on hold and hit the road. This voyage was my first real push outside of home and it took me a couple of trips between Utah and Texas to get completely moved; an old Ford Escort can only do so much. During one of my trips I found myself in the southeastern, "red rock" regions of Utah during the wee morning hours of winter. The atmosphere was phenomenal, as I whisked through a full-moon desert landscape with only my thoughts and an uncertain future keeping me company. This experience inspired me to title this tune "Driving Through the Twilight".

Enjoy!
