She is so cute. There were parts that could have brought me to tears if I were a crier. I can't wait to see who she becomes.

Duder.... Moorea came to play in my town a few years back and she and Kristen Allonzito (I can't spell her name) were sweet. Fantastic vocals, adorable songs.... good stuff.

Moorea Malatt
author: Linda
Moorea Malatt invites you into her music in an intelligent,
honest and personal way. She owns her songs and lets you
know it in a wry and amusing fashion. With a quirkily
endearing voice, she grabs your attention and never lets
go. The vocal nuances she incoporates into her performance
conger up images of her face- grins, sneers, bemused
eyebrow lifts and an occasional bit of eye rolling. These,
in my opinion, transform her hooky melodies into a visceral
experience. Her phrasing in general, and particularly on
the cut "No Patriarchy Here" is refreshingly unique. The
instrumental accompaniments compliment her style perfectly.
This feminist who likes"to wear pink"deserves to be heard.

'Love and Lack Thereof'
author: Jaclyn
The state of Washington has many claims to fame, including being able to turn out some of the greatest musicians of all time such as Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Kobain and Pearl Jam. Soon Washington will be able to add Moorea Malatt to the list. Malatt has the ability to relate to her listeners through commonalties we all share such as love, break ups, discovering one’s self, and learning many of life’s lessons. This singer/songwriter broke into the music business in 2003, producing her first CD, which left me, the listener, on the edge of my seat looking forward to her next. Her lyrics in songs like “No Patriarchy Here,” and “Love and Lack Thereof,” present a strong, bold, and witty young woman who accepts herself and her sexuality in a society that is now just beginning to accept it. One of the most unique qualities on Malatt’s CD is her ability to not only incorporate different styles of music such as bluegrass and folk, but her choice in instruments such as the mandolin.
