notes
Hailing from opposite ends of the experimental music spectrum Andy Moor and Yannis Kyriakides have been making music together for over 5 years. Andy Moor is known for his unique style of guitar playing, ranging from the raucous anarcho-punk style in groups like the EX, Dog Faced Hermanns, and Kletka Red, to the sonic improv outings on collaborations with Kaffe Matthews, John Butcher and Thomas Lehn. Yannis Kyriakides has made his name as one of the foremost young composers of his generation (as recipient of the Gaudeamus Music Prize in 2000) as well as being an active improviser in the electronic music scene (appearing on the original MIMEO formation).
The fifteen tracks recorded here are a result of three improvisation sessions held in 2003. The album is an exciting blend of the visceral and the refined, the raw and the spontaneous that marks the opening chapter of a blossoming collaborative partnership.
4 page digipak with a 36-page booklet of Andy Moor's photography.
