Album Notes

In a time when the world was being led by the spoiled and greedy...

...When the music of the masses became bland and sterile, yet the young and old alike cried out for something to rock their asses and lift their spirits....

....When there arose a clear need for a soundtrack to times of trouble, insanity, reason, and triumph...

...Moosehound arose to meet that need. And kick asses that needed to be kicked.

Moosehound is a band from Denton, TX that plays instrumental music that rocks, funks, headbangs, shreds, skanks, moshes, and does the jitterbug in rapid succession.

If you hate good music.......

...you should stay far away from this band and this album. They well irritate your ears with a great chemistry. These guys opened up for my band, Equilibrium (out of Oklahoma City, OK), and they killed the stage. I wanted them to play the rest of the night. We didn't get to pleasure of the sax and the keys but the trio version still ripped it. This is a MUST buy!!!! Glad I already got it.

F***ing Amazing!

A wholly original, uncompromising and refreshing contribution to American music. This band manages to pull together a wide spectrum of sound while still keeping it all expertly focused and composed. None off it seems arbitrary or out of place, and each member brings something different: Killer keyboards by Justin Stanton, Phill Aelony's subtle, but ever memorable guitar compositions, Brian Donohoe's inventive, rousing sax work, percussion by Steve Pruitt that never ceases to amaze, and kick-ass bass by Ryan Hagler. Just speaking as a random music lover and not anyone who's brother/son/cousin/moose happens to be in the band, I hope to see and hear from Moosehound for years to come. They will rock your f***ing world! Larry Hagman (Yes, THAT Larry Hagman)
