Mordechai Chemel is a Masters level Social Worker who studied meditation extensively in both North America and the Far East. He worked for over 10 years, as a Hospital Social Worker, counseling patients who experienced acute anxiety and stressful medical conditions. He currently works as a high school Guidance Counselor, where he helps students to manage stress and overcome personal obstacles. He uses meditation and relaxation techniques in his practice.
Dr. James Brawer (contributing author) is a Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine. He earned his Ph.D. in Neuroanatomy from Harvard University. To date he has published over 85 research articles in leading medical journals around the world. His interest in meditation evolved from years of teaching Functional Neuroanatomy.
