Album Notes

New music from mike morello. After the success of his first release, "leisure," mike follows up with starpin music release, "up to something." mike morello is a New York/Connecticut area pop singer/songwriter with a unique sound that blends pop, jazz, blues and rock. This new album really shows off morello's talents and diverse songwriting, but, of course, still has that mike morello sound. No longer just an acoustic singer/songwriter, this new album really has mike stretching his legs. From blues to jazz to r&b to pop, this effort has something for everyone. The songs are delivered with feeling and energy and, as always, show off mike's voice and guitar playing. This album also has mike performing with his full band of pat mccarthy, shawn sandi and verryn jennings which adds great dynamics to the songs. The first single, "on from here" is already seeing great reviews. in addition, fans of mike will be pleased to finally see that the crowd favorite, "girl next door," is on this record. for more information on mike morello, visit www.mikemorello.net.

mike says this about his music,

"I want to connect to people and their feelings. my hope is that people will listen to my music and say, 'ya, i feel that way, too.' Also, music is a huge outlet for my experiences. there is no better way for me to share those experiences than through writing music. Even though i have my own, unique style, I am always trying to stretch myself
and branch into new writing styles in order to be fresh and exciting. My music is a direct link to my feelings, some of which are extremely private. I find that each time I perform my music, I leave everything out there for the audience. I am exhausted when I'm through, but proud that I have held nothing back. This, my second CD, "up to something" will be supported by National and local press, a college, bar and cafe tour in the fall."

In short, we think you're gonna' want to check this one out.
