Bursting onto the New Jersey music scene in late 2001, More Then I has grown into one of the area's hottest new rock acts. Bringing to mind the music of contemporary greats Incubus and the Goo Goo Dolls and legendary bands like Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin, More Then I is on the fast track to success.

Formed initially as an acoustic trio, and playing cafés across New Jersey, the band has grown around the idea that the song must come first. After developing an impressive catalog of modern rock songs, the band began playing electric shows in some of the area's top clubs, earning devoted fans with their amazing live shows and solid songwriting.

During the summer of 2002 the band entered the studio with engineer Don Sternecker (Peter Gabriel, Blues Traveler) and began work on their debut album. Less than a year after their first performance, the band released the album "U" and began garnering radio airplay for their first single "Why Can't She Be Mine."

Constantly writing, the band entered BackPocket Studios (Sting, Stevie Wonder) in early 2003 to record "Felicity", available exclusively on the bands mp3.com website.

Stylish and versatile!
author: Laura T. Lynch of Kweevak.com
This New Jersey band plays an eclectic mix of modern rock with shades of pop and emo. This ten-track collection is expertly engineered by Don Sternecker who has worked with Peter Gabriel and Blues Traveler. Arrangements are fresh and versatile. Meaningful lyrics about relationships are sung with depth and emotion by lead vocalist Marc Goldberg. 'Tonight', the opening track has an intriguing beat and fluctuating fretwork. It is an attention grabber with layered levels. It is followed by 'Why Can't She Be Mine' which is the first single released for airplay. It has vibrant visual lyrics, artistic arrangements and a catchy hook. 'Save Your Breath' has powerful percussions, a funky beat and harmonizing slightly angry vocals. U is more than just a rock CD as it crosses musical disciplines with style and plunk!

These guys have talent, and there's no way to fake that.

The variety of sounds and styles in this debut CD is re-Marc-able. (yuk yuk) Seriously, though... These guys are as talented as songwriters and performers as anyone out in the mainstream today. They'll be going places. Buy the CD now so you can say you were one of the first to own it once every station starts playing it.
