Morris J

There are only a few R&B artists working today whose stature increases with every album. They still dazzle as a contemporary force - still entice us - all the while challenging themselves to make the "defining" recording that can add new colors to the pop spectrum, and stand the test of time. A record where legend meets artist, magically transforming the mood, substance, tenor and timing of the songs, casting a shadow that transcends the genre of R&B itself.

Morris J has created such a recording. Appropriately titled Haters, his debut CD single is a muscle-flexing, sexually charged yet vulnerable portrait of overcoming jealousy and envy with positive energy. This compilation encourages listeners to follow their dream despite opposition.

Morris J is a native of Dallas, Texas who began performing at talent shows while in the 3rd grade. He began pursuing music as a professional career shortly after high school. Morris J concedes his talent is a blessing from God and promised his mother before her passing to become a success in the music industry.

Morris J was a contestant on the first season of American Idol. He has also performed in Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
