Album Notes

Morris Mills

Mills showcases his unique talent and sound, and possesses the ability to capture an energy and emotion with a bevy of hit songs, but more importantly, this artist will stand the test of time!

“Love & Coffee” is lyrically awesome, refreshing, distinct and his break-through album.

Mills is catching the attention of such artists as Rosie Gaines. Gaines, Prince's Former NPG bandmember , Diamonds and Pearls Nothing Compares 2 U, and most recently an Epic Records recording artist plans to record Mills' amazing single " Steppin' out 2 Nite".

Mills has also performed with such great musicians as Bill the Dickens – MCA Recording Artist; Vasti Jackson - BB King, Wynton Marsalis, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Ruth Brown Koko Taylor and the recipient of a 1994 Grammy for Best Blues Album of the Year.

A 2006 tour is in preparation. Mills is being courted by various schools, agents, management, music attorneys and record labels.

Morris is R&B's/Neo Soul/POP answer for the Music Industry. He is a deft storyteller crooning in a smooth falsetto about everything from lovemaking to the internet using crossing over genres with a combination of folk, modern pop and soul. He is a bohemian hippy with raw neo classic soul sexiness. People have compared his vocal range to Maxwell, his electrifying dance moves to Prince, and his rock star apparel to Lenny Kravitz. But his music is universal.

Morris Mills has been playing in the Chicago music scene for a long time now, but is starting to gain national (and international) attention... and it is well deserved. His aptly named recent album, Love & Coffee is full of delicious songs that wake you up and make you yearn for someone to wrap your arms around. Especially notable are Hello , where Morris's falsetto soul style sends you into orbit and the title track Love & Coffee , which has a very Stevie Wonder feel to it. I am especially fond of the faster paced, high energy Steppin Out 2nite which is a bit of Lenny Kravitz meets modern electronica. Give him a listen and grab

Every so often an artist will incorporate a great metaphor into an album title. The "Love & Coffee" album captures the essense of love. Without any artificial sounds this album supports Morris's authentic swaggar. Similar to artist like Steely Dan, Morris Mills makes us all smile while listening. This album is upbeat and soulful from the intro to the outro.
