Swing City Big Band leader, John Morrison, (www.swingcity.com.au)and Australian jazz singer, Jacki Cooper, (www.jackicooper.com) have joined forces to present this live recording from the Thredbo Jazz Festival in Australia in May 2007. Both dedicated jazz educators, John and Jacki formed \"New Generation\" as a vehicle for promoting up- and-coming talent. This \"Live in Concert\" recording features young Sydney musicians, Tim Fisher on piano, Karl Dunnicliff on double bass, and Bernard Winetroub on vibes. John and Jacki recently took Tim Fisher on tour to China where they released this CD (hence the Chinese writing) and played at JZ Jazz Club, House of Jazz and Blues, and performed with the Shanghai Symphony Big Band at the Oriental Arts Centre.
The CD is a salute to the Modern Jazz Quartet sound with a vocal twist. Enjoy!
