Album Notes

Scott Morris is my real name (1st and middle) Soltermann is the last name. I have been playing piano since the age of 4 and currently working with some new and different styles including r and b and progressive rock. I studied music all my life and graduated Ball State University in Muncie Indiana under the direction of Catherine Bell Rutledge Lough, an awesome teacher of music who gave me great direction in musical performance. I played piano at Nordstrom for over ten years and a variety of parties and receptions where "requests" were always available. I favor memorable melodies and write some as well, but when it comes to great songs, I think it takes great professional writers to do the job well.
ONE is a combination of several of my favorite composers' music but I threw in one of my own...High Upon My Rooftop, that I dedicate to those who have had some dysfunction in their upbringing.
My good friend, Clifford White, a very brilliant vocalist, shines on four tracks on this album including the Louis Armstrong favorite, Wonderful World.
I hope you enjoy this album and as it is my first release, thus the name, ONE.

REVIEWS

Stone cold person revived from the dead
author: Jay Contreras
Mr. Solterman has a cosmic connection that lifts one's spirit. I rarely if ever listen to lyrics (they detract from the music) so this album was pure gold. I was particularly moved by the languid pace. Steady, but firm on the opening number. I can't believe the effect that such an unusually slow beat has on the senses. I highly recommend this album to those that value quiet places.
