Robert Mosci, the New York City based singer/pianist, celebrates the season with Holidays, his 4th and latest CD recording on Zographia Records. It features Mr. Mosci at his vocal best as he romps through 11 classic and original holiday tunes. Elements of swing, jazz, R&B, reggae and pop are tastefully blended, accompanied by a superb group of New York studio musicians.
Two new captivating Mosci originals, including an evocative Chanukah song, complement a diverse array of material ranging from a jazzy rendition of Mel Torme's The Christmas Song to Joni Mitchell's moody ballad River. Mosci imparts his own stylistic spin to other traditional classics, e.g.: an R&B infused White Christmas. The performances are spiced with fine solos by the many and varied accompanists throughout.
Mosci's first three Zographia albums have received widespread national airplay. Selections from his recent Frankly Speaking (songs of Sinatra) have been added to playlists of regional stations around the country, and can be heard as well on several nationally syndicated radio networks and programs which showcase American popular standards.
Robert continues his long term engagement as the featured performer at NYC's famed art-deco nightspot The Top of the Tower at the Beekman Tower Hotel, where his compelling vocal and piano style has attracted a large and enthusiastic fan base from around the New York metropolitan area, as well as from across the country. Among other venues, he has led his group at the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel.
