Madjid Khaladj (Daf,Tombak), Mahmoud Tabrizi-Zadeh (Kamanche), reza Ghassemi (Setar), Homa Niknam (vocal):

Classical music for singer, setar lute, kamantche fiddle and percussion. Moshtaq has an original approach to classic forms, but most striking here is the magnificent singing by a young female vocalist, Homa: powerful and subtle both. The instrumental backings provide support of a power only half-masked by restraint. The music consists of two extended vocal suites.

Adequate notes.
