The members of Mostly Dead have been working together in various projects around Austin for the last decade, including bands such as; Muppletone, Invincible Czars, 20 Eyes, Surfing Standing Still, The Jazzus Lizard, Mike Truth & the Replacement Killers, Bee vs. Moth & Zissou. They’re a group of professional music mercenaries of the highest caliber who’ve collectively played every venue in and around Austin.
Mostly Dead have been together 2 years; their debut album SHINE is due out Jan. ’09, and they’ve already began tracking towards a 2nd album. They have mastered a wide array of original material, as well as covers of their influences. Mostly Dead offer an intense, danceable, prolific new sound, complete with audience participation and a growing following.
