Album Notes
"All of the ten songs on Dreamers Everywhere ride the crest of Mostow's voice, which easily places her among the best Seattle has these days...The result is first class." Frank Gutch, JR., FAME

A Finalist in the 2005 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase Competition, Kathryn Mostow’s intimate songwriting and performing has steadily gained the attention of critics and fans alike.

Often compared to such artists as Eva Cassidy, Joan Baez, and Dar Williams, Kathryn’s songs speak of hope, faith and desire despite the cynicism of our times. With “a voice like a bell, pure and clear” (Indie-music.com), Kathryn has been described as a “whole-body/whole-being singer…who gives out everything she is through her voice” (Bill Fisher, Victory Review).

Kathryn’s second release, Dreamers Everywhere, features noted jazz pianist/organist Wayne Horvitz, cellist Jami Sieber, dobro and pedal steel player Dan Tyack, fiddler Paul Elliot and bassist Garey Shelton. The 10 songs weave Latin, blues, folk and a capella traditions into a decidedly more roots-based and acoustic album.

Dreamers Everywhere has been featured on NPR’s All Songs Considered Open Mic website, and was highlighted in the Winter 2005 issue of Sing Out! Magazine.

“Kathryn’s songs are little nuggets of contentment, offered in a conversational tone, rich with authenticity and simple charm.” Kevan Breitinger, Indie-Music.com

Beautiful soulful music for all ages.
Have loved her music for years and this CD remains on target, bringing beautiful soulful music for all ages to enjoy. I even play this for the children I take care of as a pediatric nurse and they love it.

"Kathryn's songs are little nuggets of contentment."
Listening to Kathryn Mostow is like making a new friend. Not one of those difficult friends who never really let you know where you stand, or if it’s safe to leave them alone in your living room. She brings a warmth and a sense of knowing that all things are understood between sistas. Yes, I’m going to say it: her music is feminine. It’s wonderfully powerfully feminine, blissfully riddled with sleeping babies, youthful dreams and crazy peanut butter blues. She makes no apologies; she just sings her beautiful happy songs. I like that in a friend.....

This album just says beautiful all over it.
All beautiful.

The genre could be called acoustic pop with folky edges. There is one blues song. Does it count as a blues song if it's an ode to peanut butter? Sure it does.

Kathryn Mostow has a voice that sounds effortless (though, as a singer, I know it's not). She has a great lilt that is so uplifting.

Actually, uplifting is another way to describe this recording. It's got a very sunny disposition. The songs just make you sit up a little straighter and smile. They cover some heavy topics but with such grace and hopefulness.

This is a CD to put in when you need a good pep talk.

Stand out Songs: "Promise of Spring", "Hello World" (lovely harmonies), Freedom (love the message).

absolutely beautiful
This CD has an amazing range of absolutely beautiful songs...I love it because it is family-appropriate and I keep it in my car so that I can listen to it everytime I drive. I Give Thanks is superb as is Dreamers; I also love her In The City. What a talented singer and composer!

Good Service and Good Music
I had this CD sent to my wife because of two of the tracks listed on it. The CD came and she's been listening to it. For some that may not be a compliment but it's often harder to sell people on new music so the fact that she's listening is a pretty big deal.

lyrically strong, inspirational music, always a good listen
For whatever mood you are in, you can find something on this album to compliment it. Introspective and quietly beautiful to powerfully political. Dreamers Everywhere will feed your soul, break your heart, and lift your dreams.
