Album Notes

"Welcome 2am" the title of Most Wanted's third CD in six years, is a line in the song "Win". For these road weathered romantic rockers, 2 O' clock in the morning is the time of day when your ears are ringing, your head is pounding, your body is drenched from hours of adrenalin pumping rock sweat and you are exhausted from the grind and yet somebody still wants something from you. You give, and you give until your at the edge of stardom, failure, temptation and excess!

Most Wanted established its roots through out the Mid West during the late 90s into the New Millennium at every beer soaked rock venue possible. Hailing from Ann Arbor Michigan, the band has enjoyed a steady career as hard working rockers touring constantly, while releasing three CDs and a DVD. Singer/Song Writer/Producer, Mark Hiser leads this dynamic group of bandits to new lands, with a tapestry of haunting vocals, fueled with the fury and the fire of desperation and desire. Hiser will take you deep into a mindful secret flight through a humble rocker existence. With song writing credits of over 50 original compositions, several modest radio singles and thousands of stage hours, the well traveled captain is well equipped for the journey! Greg Kerkes, a resemblance of Bohnam and Watt's, is nothing short of brilliant and timeless. The Kerkes legend lives at the very heart of the Most Wanted sound. Hear who the Detroit music insiders want to replicate. Kerkes has logged the hours of ten drummers into area studios and recording sessions and builds the solid foundation of the Most Wanted Sound. Newest member Phil Weiss is the areas top bass musician. A studio native, Phil is no stranger to the areas top artists and has added a powerful low end sparkle to the bands live performance. A seasoned professional, Phil is the live “in-the-pocket” Bass Player from Ann Arbor , Michigan who has set the high watermark on bass. Phil has played and recorded with many Southeast Michigan Rock and Blues Bands over the last 10 years including; Super Unleaded, Exit 145, Screaming Buddha’s, The Blues Rollers and The Witch Doctors. Influenced by John Paul Jones, Tommy Shannon and Duff McKagan, Phil an exciting element helping Most Wanted's original rock arsenal fly over the edge! Together, Hiser, Kerkes and Weiss deliver super quality, high powered Indie Rock.

In 2005 the band signed with low profile indie label Stone Alley Records and in February 2006 released Welcome 2am, a twelve-song power packed CD with plenty of guitars and drums for those in the industry needing a fix. A record inspired by many experiences, the songs "Mountains" and "Win" are powerful songs about perseverance while "Contradictions" was written from reflections of 9/11. "Inside My Head" is about sailing through the middle of tempestuous situations with out crashing a shore and in contrast "You'll Come Around" is totally about being cheated on and the feelings of revenge. While "Welcome 2am" is a driving rock recording bursting with feelings of love, hate, sin and redemption, loaded with low-end and rock royalty vibration, it is a composition of vintage guitar riffs and soul fired lyrics.

Prior to their arrival at Stone Alley, Most Wanted recorded two projects at Megawave Records and a DVD. The debut CD titled Most Wanted was recorded and released in 1998. The single "Can I See You", written the day after a close friend of the band announced he had spent several years in prison for an accidental killing prior to his involvement with Most Wanted, made radio play lists from California to New York with positive airplay. Music supervisors in Hollywood retained the sexual taunt Beautiful and the love struggling ballad Bringing Home The Rain for a movie soundtrack library.
The follow up to Most Wanted was released in September 2001 and is titled Tattoo Girls. This CD includes the singles "In My Life", " Crazy Little Woman" and "Tattoo Girls". The CD is tribute to the weekend warriors infiltrating the clubs week after week. With national radio play and regional distribution the song Tattoo Girls became a theme for the new generation of inking and body piercing young women. Andy Patalan of the bands Throttle Body and Sponge, recorded, engineered and mixed MOST WANTED and Tattoo Girls.

Solid indeed, very choice.

"Welcome 2 am" is a very cool rock CD. Most Wanted an under the radar indie artist likend to Pearl Jam, has a great sound and have put together a strong collection of very dynamic songs. "Contradictions" has the best guitar work I've heard in years. Each track has purpose, meaning and is full of desperation, crazy, anger, lust and ....guitar. The storm and wind chimes definitely add a chilling vibe to "Dead Friday" which also has killer guitar work. Very solid indeed. Mitch Fallon

Welcome 2 am by Most Wanted is a mysteriously lyrically loaded driving rock record. A must have CD, Welcome 2am will lure you into decoding what these songs mean. Dynamic and rhythmic arrangements laced with driving low-end, spooked harmonies and outstanding guitar riffs, escort the curious through it's passages. A great collection of original songs from a solid Indie Rock band.
