Album Notes

Moth Music is an ongoing series of electronic instrumental compositions by Mark Phillip Lopez. Elements of pop, folk, jazz, and classical music are used to create an overall sound that is a hybrid of these styles. Volume 1 presents a good overview as to the range of ideas you're likely to hear in subsequent CD's. ABOUT THE SAMPLES: "Soul Saddled" is an ethereal, feel good song that characterizes the soul as a majestic steed. Enjoy a happy gallop through the expanse of the universal range. "Savoir Faire" has an intense, yet happy Cajun dance feel. An infectious rhythm urges you to let your hair down and join the party. "Letting Go" switches gears as violin voices emulate a loving goodbye to a dying friend, expressing thanks and the hope of an eternal reunion. "Moth" features a jazz organ and vibraphone to create the cool and mysterious flight of an often overlooked member of the insect kingdom. With an active mind and a gentle heart, Moth Music hopes to bring a unique voice to the art of the instrumental.
