Martin Motnik with Gregg Bissonette, What a duo!
author: Dag Fjellby
Considering everything is played only with BASS GUITARS and Gregg Bissonette on drums, this is pretty awesome. The music has virtuosity above normal, and the sound quality is very good.
Gregg Bissonette is in fact on my “Top Ten” drummer list. Together with Martin Motnik they have managed to make “Bass Invader” an all time classic! The Varity and virtuosity in the music is present all the time. Both thumbs Up for Martin Motnik and Gregg Bassinette’s “Bass Invader”
Could we have some more, PLEASE?

In fact I didn't know Martin Motnik before hearing this cd, SO WHAT A DISCOVER ! : he is really an incredible bass player. If you like bass-instrumental cds, buy it, you won't be dissapointed !!! Highly recommended for bass fanatics who like Stuart Hamm, Billy Sheehan or Randy Coven.

Fulminant solo album
author: BASS PROFESSOR 4/2005
Oops, this guy can play! Bassist Martin Motnik took Über-drummer Gregg Bissonette into the studio to record a fulminant solo album. The first track "Bee on speed" already takes off like a rocket - Gregg plays a fast double bass beat like at David Lee Roth's best times when he was playing on David's legendary album "Eat 'En And Smile", together with Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan.
Motnik is not only able to play faster than the speed of light, which he proves on his lyrical solo piece "Delayed" - appropriately played with a Delay FX. The basses he uses are two Roya 5 string (fretted and fretless) by Jens Ritter, an acoustic Ibanez AEB 10 and an Esh 6 string.
Bass Invader presents a sweeping blow on all possibilities of playing bass: Motnik masters them all, no matter if slow, fast, tapped or beating with the thumb. Another guest on the CD is guitarist Mattias IA Eklundh, who appears on two Songs.
