ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The fearsome foursome MOUNTAIN SPROUT is comprised of Melissa Carper pulling cannon fire notes out of the stand up doghouse bass, Adam Wagner yanking the melody up by it's ear and giving it a musical spanking on the guitar, Blayne Thiebaud burning rosin and bending bow on the fiddle, and Grayson Van Sickle playing machine gun banjo. All four members of the band fully intend to continue playing music until the coroner pronounces them dead on stage and has them hauled off for burial, no day jobs for these four. MOUNTAIN SPROUT’S goal as a band is to create better, faster, bigger music and to play it as often as possible, wherever possible and to sustain themselves this way mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, and to keep on doing it. Their latest recording " Into The Sun 'features all new songs it is the fifth recording from this band and is their best yet.

more great tunes from Mountain Sprout
I first saw this band in Winfield, KS a couple of years ago. I didn't know what to expect, but I got hooked as soon as they started to play. This album is full of great pickin' and inventive lyrics that stick in your head all day long. If you're looking for a band to try, you can't go wrong with these guys. And if you ever have the chance to see them live, don't miss it!!!
