Album Notes

Mike works on a large ranch near Silver City, New Mexico and has been performing his own mix of cowboy poetry and music since 2002. Known as \"New Mexico\'s Most Enchanting Cowboy\", he works hard to put listeners as close to being in the saddle as words and music will allow. \"Living and working in the Land of Enchantment inspires me and obligates me to capture the people, places and feelings I find here as best I can,\" he says.

This album contains 8 of his most popular pieces of cowboy poetry and 4 of his original cowboy songs. \"If something stikes me as funny, I may embellish it for the sake of humor, but if something is true and honest, well, I try to write about that as accurately as I can.\" Mike often travels to festivals and gatherings across the southwest and especially enjoys visiting before and after shows. \"Western folks appreciate all the things that make the West special: the scenery and wide open spaces and the small towns where everyone knows who their neighbors are combine to make this area the greatest place to live on Earth. I hope my writing and performances remind us all of that.\"
