Album Notes

I Want My Mommy (Time for Bed)" was the No.1 song XM Kids national satellite radio for 8 weeks in a row!

The Movers' debut disc, "Good Ideas," has been named a 2003 Parents' Choice Recommended CD and was named Best Recording for Younger Children by Children's Music Web. Also, the Movers' song "The Medicine Song" was recently a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition and the song "Toothache" garnered a 2003 Great American Song Honor Award and an honorable mention from the John Lennon Songwriting contest!

The Imagination Movers combine pop, hip-hop, rock and world music with educational themes for kids and grownups on their national award winning debut CD "Good Ideas." The Movers sing about healthy eating, separation anxiety, sibling rivalry and other topics that relate to being a little kid, but the group's musical style sounds more like the Beastie Boys than Barney. Movers music is catchy stuff that's just as much fun for parents as it is for little kids. Crowd-pleasing songs include "Time for Bed," an anthem about learning to sleep through the night; "My Favorite Snack," an ode to delicious treats that are actually good for you; and "Toothache," a song about dental hygiene set to an old-school rap beat.

"In our house and car, 'Good Ideas' is in heavy rotation. Thank-you, Imagination Movers, for creating an album that the entire family can enjoy! Currently, my son's favorite song is 'My Favorite Snack.' It rocks! I have seen the future of children's music and its name is Imagination Movers!"

-- Kevin Griffin, Better Than Ezra

"Among the preschool set, they're bigger than the Beatles."

-- Louisiana's Family Magazine

"Imagination Movers get kids and the folks alike on the floor, moving along to the playful tunes and fresh lyrics."

-- Michael Tisserand, editor, Gambit Weekly and author, The Kingdom of Zydeco

"The Imagination Movers grab their audience better than any act I've ever seen! I was exhausted just watching. Excellent family entertainment!"

-- Jay Pelham, Promotions Director / Morning Show Producer WCKW 92.3 The Point

"With fresh, witty songs in a variety of pop, rock and world-beat styles, the Imagination Movers create music that kids want to hear again, again and again -- parents, too."

-- Scott Aiges, director, Music Business Development - Mayor's Office of Economic Development for the City of New Orleans

I sent the IM CD to my 1 1/2-year-old granddaughter (after her mom told me about her new favorite song, My Favorite Snack). It arrived promptly and they danced around the kitchen all afternoon. I should have got a grandma copy so I could learn and sing along. Fun tunes and topics! As enjoyable for mom as for daughter.

This is a great CD. The music makes you get up and dance. My 4yr old listens to it so much she knows all the words to the songs. I love that every song has a good message too. I hope to see more from the Imagination Movers.
