The world's coolest rock band for kids, the Imagination Movers, make their entry into kids video with the release of their debut DVD, "Stir It Up"
"Stir It Up" is a high-energy rock 'n' roll experience for kids that will energize your living room every time it hits the screen. Kids will rap, clap, stomp, romp, bounce and slide their way through 15 songs that range from the funky dance number "Clean My Room" to the Movers' #1 hit "I Want My Mommy," a guitar-fueled anthem about learning to sleep through the night. In their trademark blue coveralls, Imagination Movers Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty sing, dance, bang on their trashcan drum set and inspire kids to use their creativity to make their own music and fun.
"Stir It Up" is the third major release from the Movers in the last 18 months. In spring 2003, they unveiled their national award-winning debut CD "Good Ideas." Their new 2004 release, "Calling All Movers," has already garnered several national awards and has been praised by critics and fans as a groundbreaking collection of tuneful rock, pop and hip-hop tracks for families to enjoy together.
The Movers, originally from New Orleans, have become poster boys for an exciting new generation of rockers who are just as much fun for parents as well as kids. Hit songs on XM Kids national satellite radio and an ongoing concert tour of U.S. cities have helped create a nation of "Gearheads" (Movers fans) ready for the next big release.
"Stir It Up" will provide further evidence that, when it comes to blending the merits of Mr. Rogers and the Beastie Boys, nobody does it better than the Movers!
