Album Notes

Eight Feet is a 17-track collection of party jams for kids and grownups to enjoy together. It features the high-energy sing-along songs "Shakable You," "Seven Days a Week," "Farm" and "Stale Bread." The world's first loose-tooth anthem "Big" provides a melodic contrast and "Have Fun Today" sounds like beatbox-powered Fleetwood Mac. "Gimme Your Hand" and "We Got Each Other" provide the disc's emotional core and dance songs "Sleeping Bag" and "Field Trip" keep the energy level high. "Pop" is a more subtle rock tapestry that wins over the listener while celebrating bubbles, balloons, popcorn - and all things that go "pop"!

The Movers are the New Orleans-based rockers for kids who scored a national #1 hit song on XM Kids radio and have earned raves from Parenting magazine, Scholastic Parent & Child and The Washington Post. Movers music videos air daily on Louisiana Public Broadcasting.

Movers music is best described as a combination of Mr. Rogers and the Beastie Boys. Age-appropriate educational themes join forces with catchy choruses, high-energy power chords and the Movers' unique "junk" drumming.

Other Mover releases: Good Ideas (2003), Calling All Movers (2004), Stir It Up DVD (2004). The Movers are Scott "Smitty" Smith, Dave Poche, Scott Durbin and Rich Collins.
