Album Notes

Paul and Tracy met preparing for the release of Paul’s solo acoustic album Prairie Stop. What started as a 3-song experiment has since blossomed into a fully engaged writing and performing team. Drawing from lyric-based folk, sophisticated blues, Pac-Rim funk, and classical sensibilities, their music moves and changes.

This West Coast songwriting duo delivers a pop/classical musical fusion colored with blues and jazz tones; their songs can move luxuriously or energetically and the lyrics should be required reading. Their debut CD GAME features Paul’s acoustic guitar stylings, Tracy’s lush violin licks, and distinctive vocals from both.

No chips and beer here, this is fine wine music. Songs lovingly crafted and performed in such a way as to let the lyrics, the emotions, and the melodies shine forth.

There are only 10 songs and 2 performers here, but this is a case where less is more. Drink in the sound.

Paul teaches guitar and songwriting on Vancouver Island. For more info visit www.paulmowbray.com
