Album Notes
Mixing Afro Beats and Hip Hop is a concept that is original to Mowembi. Inspired by Southern African musicians Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and Thomas Mapfumo; Mowembi mixes this inspiration with the hip hop sound reminiscent of Run DMC and Tribe Called Quest. The result is a trully original sound, with African roots and a Hip Hop beat.
