The Matt Park Project

Matt Park first picked up his guitar in his late teens and immediately showed talent in songwriting and performing. Asked to perform an original composition for his graduation ceremony at Bishop O' Dowd High School in Oakland, Matt found that his true heart and passion was in music, rather than golf. Giving up his full scholarship to play golf in college, Matt decided to focus on music full time by majoring in music and performing for countless events, college-wide.

Matt was sponsored to record his first album with Anthony Prael, Producer/Engineer/Owner of Mirapool Studios, while training at the S.F. Academy of Performing Arts with Master Teacher and former Broadway Talent, Richard Nikol. Opportunities opened up for Matt internationally as he went to perform at various events in different countries.

At 26, Matt Park is working on his second album and continues to contribute to this world by honoring God with his life, and with lyrically powerful and positive messages. Matt Park is also a full time student pursing a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Integrating his education on the psychology of the mind into the universal language of music, Matt's contribution can be seen in the lives that he is reaching out to.
