Album Notes

New Arrivals: Volume Three (NAV3) is the third installment in MPress Records' charity compilation series, conceived by MPress founder and Independent Music Award winner Rachael Sage. Volume 3 features a wealth of talent from around the globe: 2007 Toronto Independent Music Award winner Ember Swift, Aussie rockers The Kin (heard on "Army Wives"), L.A.-based Lelia Broussard and Adrienne Pierce (heard on "Veronica Mars"), South Carolina's Jay Clifford (heard on "Grey's Anatomy"), New York "Fox 5 Subway Idol" Theo Eastwind, indie veteran Stephen Kellogg, plus a bonus cut from platinum-selling "Toad The Wet Sprocket" singer Glen Phillips.

Like its predecessors, 100% of net proceeds from the retail sales of NAV3 will benefit another worthy organization, National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA).

All good, as these compilations always are, but stealing my heart are 2 long time favorites of mine The Kin, and CHRISTOPHER DALLMAN! Can't wait for Chris to move back to NYC and hopefully get some recognition for the talent that he is! Kudos Rachel for always bringing great talent to light.

I came across this album when I was looking for compilations. I love that it's all independent artists, most whom I've never heard of. When I particularly like a song I look them up online and find so much great new music! Songs that stood out to me are: "So Close" by The Hamiltons, "Be Still" by Five A.M., "Satellite" by KP Devlin, "Nowhere to Now Here" by The Kin, "Nighttime in the City" by Christopher Dallman, and "2 O'Clock in the Morning" by Swati. Obviously, they're all really good! Best of all, it goes to a charitable organization... which is pretty amazing.

Great cause, Great music!

I got this compilation after seeing a showcase of some of the artists in NYC. I was so impressed with what I saw and heard that I got a few extra copies to give as gifts because I wanted to support the cause. When I finally listened to it end to end, I was blown away! I had to keep one for myself. Instead of the artists donating throw away tracks, I feel each gave their best! In particular I like Jay Clifford's Know When To Walk Away, Ten Minute Turns' Sad Animals, Chris Dallman's Nighttime In The City, The Hamilton's So Close and The Iry's Whole Again.
