Melody of Blue Cuckoo is a compilation of traditional Bon-Buddhist chants and mantras, as sung by Menri Ponlob Trinley Nyima Rinpoche and Geshe Lhundup Chaphur. The disc includes multiple versions of the Refuge, Bodhichitta and Guru Yoga chants.

Ponlob Rinpoche was born in the Dolpo region of Nepal in 1963 and received his Geshe degree in 1989. He has been teaching at Menri Monastery in Dolanji, India since that time, and became Ponlob, or Chief Instructor, in 1992. Ponlob Rinpoche regularly visits the United States and Europe where he enjoys teaching the elements of Sutra, Tantra and Dzogchen to western practitioners.

Geshe Chaphur was born in the Amdo region of Tibet in 1977, and came to India at the age of 16. He earned his Geshe degree from Menri Monastery in 2008. He now teaches Sutra and Astrology at the Monastery.

This CD was recorded at Westwind Farm Studio, Portland Oregon in 2005.
