Six Traits Rock!

Ten Years in the Making...

I had no idea that the day that my 5 year old son took me to his kindergarten class for show and tell, that I would be writing and recording songs for kids as a career ten years later. But here I am.

As soon as I started writing and performing children's music, I was asked if I could write a song about the Six Traits of writing. I did, and shortly after, I was asked to present school assemblies, workshops, and residency programs.

During the last decade, I became one of our nation's premier "musical" Six Traits of Writing presenters. I was so busy with my touring schedule, that I never seemed to have time to record a CD for teachers to use in my absence…until now.

These 11 songs represent the style, attitude and information I have shared with hundreds of thousands of children from coast to coast. I hope you enjoy my contemporary rock music approach to learning the traits of IDEAS, ORGANIZATION, VOICE, WORD CHOICE, SENTENCE FLUENCY, CONVENTIONS, and PRESENTATION.
