A few years back when Mr. Boogie Woogie was approached to do play a steady SOLO gig he approached it from the standpoint that it would be a nice way to try-out new songs and introduce himself to a new audience. Not having any pre-conceived ideas about the audience or what to really expect, he accepted the gig and began playing every two weeks in a little music club called Hunky Dory in the town of Leiden, The Netherlands. What happened is well, as you say, history. Everyone was having a great time, none the least, the Boogieman himself. In fact he was having a blast. The bi-weekly show grew into a "must see event", frequented by regulars, who told their friends, and told their friends and so on and so on. Each gig now is standing room only, the audience is singing along, and Mr. Boogie Woogie is simply doing his thing.... Solo.
This DVD shows why he is undoubtedly called "the Hardest Working Man in Boogie Land!". It features his most requested songs including:
Don't Turn Back
St. Louis Blues
Sell My Monkey
Goodnight Irene.
And the incredible Fat's Domino Medley
