Kids songs parent's will HATE. I mean come on, they'd have to with titles like I HATE SCHOOL & GIRL (YOU CAN FEED MY HAMSTER). If Barenaked Ladies wrote for kids, it'd sound a lot like this.

Album Notes

Grant Baciocco spent his days working as a substitute teacher and his nights working as the lead singer/songwriter /guitarist for the comedy rock band Throwing Toasters. It was only a matter of time until those two worlds collided and the end result is MR. GRANT: VOTED MOST LIKELY TO ROCK.

This new CD of MEGA kid friendly tunes is stuffed with 21 hilarious tracks. These aren't tracks "with a message" or tracks that "teach important learning skills, "these are tracks that are just FUN. These are tracks that will have kids giggling and parents tapping along with every beat.

Two songs were recorded with Grant's band Throwing Toasters and have been featured on those albums. GIRL (YOU CAN FEED MY HAMSTER) (TRL VERSION) is a "boy band" parody about kindergarten love. CHEESE ENOUGH is one of Grant's most requested songs. It's an ode to Counting and Cheese that you will have kids singing right along.

The rest of the tunes are more "stripped" down. Grant headed into the studio with just his voice and a nylon stringed guitar and cut the rest of the tracks. I CAN'T ADD is a upbeat, fast tempo tune about a boy who can't add because of all the distractions in his house...or CAN he? Punk music has always been about rebelling and bucking the system and if there's one thing that kids rebel against, it's bedtime, so Grant wrote BEDTIME PUNK.

While making the album, Grant realized that it truly wouldn't be a kid's album unless it included a version of OLD MACDONALD, so he put his own unique spin on this classic. Just what does a duck billed platypus sound like anyway?

Also included is a tribute to the great series of books by Lemony Snicket called A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. Grant thinks these books and movie starring Jim Carrey are better than Harry Potter and decide it only fitting to write a song capturing Lemony Snicket's wry sense of humor in the lyrics.

Tying the entire album together is a poem written in the style of Robert Service (the poet Grant's Grandfather used to read to him when he was little) called A TRIP TO GRANDMA'S. It's the tale of a boys week long vacation to visit his Grandmother accompanied by his hapless brother Larry. The boys learn that their Grandmother really is like no other and this will be a trip not soon forgotten.

This album is a fantastic recording filled with songs that kids will love and parents will tolerate.
