Album Notes

Spaceraser is the V7's third album to date. The band once again turns a new leaf with the addition of more funk and rock influences on the new album. The addition of versatile musician Michael "Creeping Death" Stover playing lap steel, theremin, and Moog on the record captures the band the way they should be heard. The analog recording process captures Marco's guitar in its fullest retro tone--something usually heard only at live events. Likewise, the bass guitar, rich with fuzz and wah-wah, captures the classic Ampeg SVT tone combined with a vintage P-Bass sound. The bass playing on this album can be described as a combination of Larry Graham/Bootsy Collins meets Cliff Burton/Lemmy. Kent's drumming is tribal meets technical. Please check out the drum solo on 'Princess Smidget' (That�s one drummer--no overdubs).Spaceraser is the audio equivalent of a movie that combines elements of Barbarella and Eraserhead. Prepare to be blasted off into space while simultaneously being erased of any bad days previously held in your subconscious.
