Album Notes

It’s seven PM on Saturday night and the red curtain is once again rising on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee. Mary Sue Englund takes the television cameras in stride playing her guitar or fiddle, and singing harmony with country legend Pam Tillis. To the casual observer, Mary Sue looks right at home singing along to Pam’s biggest hits, but to one who might look a bit deeper, they would see a very different Mary Sue Englund.

Mary Sue Englund the captivating solo artist.

Mary Sue Englund the dynamic entertainer whose two previously self-released cd’s have sold over 10,000 units and whose tightly-knit, highly entertaining road show has thrilled audiences around the country.

Mary Sue Englund, founder of the new band, JANE’S PARADE, a unique and passionate celebration of music and live performance.

Mary Sue’s music captured the ear of gifted songwriter/producer Kim McLean, whose studio prowess allowed Mary Sue to find her true voice and create a record of unique clarity, vision and believability entitled Free. Co-written almost entirely by Mary Sue with Kim McLean, aided and abetted by Lisa Brokop and Pam Tillis, Free is a passionate collection of songs that takes every listener on their own intensely dynamic and emotional journey.

Excellent Album
author: Samuel George Thompson
An excellent album. Great lyrics and fine music excellently produced. Met Mary Sue a couple of times on her UK and Ireland tour with Pam Tillis. She is a wonderful and genuine person and was very apologetic because she had no more CDs left. However I got one from CD Baby and have been playing it ever since, it is just fabulous... some of my friends say she sounds like Shania Twain on some tracks. I am spreading the good news of Mary Sue Englund here in Northern Ireland and am patiently awaiting her return to these shores. Keep up the excellent work

Mary Sue's voice goes from a rich, chocolatey sweetness to a powerful rasp and she uses every bit of it on this record. The songwriting is stellar and the production is fantastic. Three thumbs up!
