The MIDNIGHT SERENADERS' debut album "Magnolia" is a recording inspired by the blues singers, crooners, and hot jazz ensembles of the 1920's and 30's.

Riding the crest of the neo-traditional jazz craze presently occurring on the West Coast, the MIDNIGHT SERENADERS are a six-piece swing band playing regularly to enthusiastic audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest. Performing vintage pop, Hot Jazz, and Hawaiian instrumentals, as well as an expanding collection of Jazz Age-sounding original songs, these six veteran musicians strive to share their love for the music of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. With an exciting stage show, tight musical arrangements, and outstanding solo and harmony vocals, MIDNIGHT SERENADERS fans include nostalgists, swing dancers, melody junkies, retro-clothing hounds, and folks who simply appreciate good quality, jubilant music.

FUN Music!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Midnight Serenaders perform when they were in Port Orford earlier this year, but I was one of the people on the Arts Council board who voted to hire them. In fact, I was the first person to open and listen to the CD that they sent us, and I was in love with the music by the second song ("A Porter's Love Song to a Chambermaid," which is my favorite!) GREAT FUN stuff!!! I wouldn't know that I wasn't listening to original music from the 20s and 30s.

Thank you, Midnight Serenaders for crafting such wonderful music! I search high and low, far and wide, for good music, and encounter a lot of disappointments, uninspired efforts, and depressing modernia. You folks are a wonderful antidote to all of the above! Keep 'em coming!

Great CD

The Midnight Serenaders are one great group. Lots of good vocals with fine musicianship and a sound all their own, making it authentic sounding 20's and 30's, but with a slightly different combo of (authentic) instruments than most other current 20's sounding groups, primarily the Hawaiian guitar. Great CD.

Great music and voices. My wife and I had the opportunity to attend their concert in Port Orford late May...their personalities on stage as they performed were terrific. Also bought Magnolia another great album. If you have an opportunity to see them in person DO SO.
