Album Notes

Fronted by Mississippi Jeff Cripps, (well known owner of A# Sharp Recording Studio and 2002, 2003 and 2005 Australian Blues Music Awards\' Producer Of The Year, with a dozen of his artists also having won Australian Blues Awards) on slide guitar and vocals. The band is driven by John Gannon on bass with Derek Smith on drums in the engine room!!

With GRAND performances at the Goulburn, Thredbo, Launceston, Newcastle, Forth Valley and Davistown Blues Festivals, and sundry other gigs in Sydney, Perth, Tasmania, Canberra and the East Coast, it has been proven without a shadow of a doubt, Mississippi Shakedown never fails to please an audience, whether it be an audience of Blues Aficionados, or Joe Public…

Mississippi Shakedown exist, due to the interest of Alligator Records U.S., the world\'s leading Blues Record Label . they liked our songs!!!

Jeff Cripps (guitar/vocals)has produced many Australian Blues Bands/Artists who have recorded some of Jeff\'s originals songs and Bruce Iglauer, Mr Alligator said he liked them....so Jeff thought, well, I\'ll record a few more.

He did, there was a C.D. and of course with every C.D. you must have a band.

Jeff called 2 of his closest mates and so was born MISSISSIPPI SHAKEDOWN..!!!
