Album Notes

The MSJ Project is a three-piece band that plays a mix of original music and classic rock tunes. Our original tunes range in style from rockabilly (Slant Six) and blues (The Glow) to new wave (Mindless Woman) and light jazz (Too Many Moments). Our cover tunes include classics by The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Cream, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Roy Orbison, Santana, and Van Morrison. However, whenever we play an original, the first question we get is "Which Dire Straits album is that from?" suggesting that our sound and style most closely resemble Dire Straits. That was not by design, but we do cover a few Dire Straits tunes, and we've been told for three-piece we're as close to the real thing as one could hope for. So, if you like the sound of Dire Straits, you just might like the MSJ Project.
