Representing the South, in particular South Florida. This Sassy Soul Vixen has many things to say these days. As one music industry executive recently said to her that her Grammy was already on the way so had better get ready. Well she took that very personal and went full speed ahead to write and record songs for her sophomore project. While doing so she came up with a tune that she thought would be fun to do and that would represent all of the Self-Assured Diva's out there who needed to learn how to let go sometimes. She delivers very strong lyrical content on this single as well as catchy hooks and melodies throughout the song. So much of Ms. Monique's vocal stylings were influenced by artist who she views as nothing but THE TRUTH. Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Betty Wright and Millie Jackson. She hit the Soul/Southern Soul/Blues circuit in 2005 with her debut album "Soul Sessions Chapter 1" which granted her access to several music awards. She also accomplished #1 chart positions in many areas of North America, Europe and Asia. “Mr. Do Right”, “You Did It To You” and the ever so sassy “Love Therapy” were among the songs that made that list.
