Album info:
The most interesting thing about the album "Time For Prayer" is that it ventures into new emotional territories.
Matthew’s last album, 2008's "Film Music – Inspiration for the Jaded Generation" had wonderful moments, but it was completely instrumental. Here, there's lyrical wit, such as with Boman Armah's line, "Science can’t find God even if they use the Hubble Telescope, they sell us dope, because it's hell to cope, skip your Rabbi, skip the Pope, send God a direct note."
And there's warmth. With Brian Morgenthaler's swooning guitars and Kenny McNeil's songwriting artistry, "Forever" sounds lushly romantic. So does "Shalom," with its truly unique bridge section, Egyptian Darbuka drumming, flute, and electronic rhythms.
Witty, romantic, life-affirming: This EP offers an inspiring experience.
The hard copy release of the album includes a hidden track not available on the MP3/iTunes release.

I heard this song for the first on SoundCloud and took to it immediately. It's well played and well produced. Only alter on did I learn there was poignant back story to this song.
It' well worth a listen and/or a purchase!
