Album Notes

Marcie and Terry Brown have put together an exciting CD that mixes the genres: jazz, classical, new age and ethnic. Marcie plays the cello and sings, and Terry plays piano and guitar and sings also, and they have called upon some great Bay Area musicians to help, including Bill Douglass on bass, Paul McCandless on reeds and horns, and John Blake Jr. on violin.

Marcie has a Master's Degree from Manhattan School of Music. She has recently performed over five hundred shows with the Cirque du Soleil's "O" show in Las Vegas, and then played in the Tucson Symphony Orchestra for a season before moving back to the Bay Area. She is an avid fan of putting the cello into all types of music and has studied Latin, African, and Indian music.

Terry Brown has studied music for a lifetime and has toured Europe performing classical music. He lives in northern California where he composes, practices and tends to an overabundant garden.
