Album Notes
One of 10 Finalists in the 2005 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Competition & The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival.
Matt was given the DIY Spotlight in the March/April 2005 issue of Performing Songwriter Magazine.

“His songs have a childlike quality, a youthful sense of humor that in lesser hands might come off as downright silly….his wordplay is deceptively sly and, like the best tunesmiths, his melodies are remarkably direct and simple.”-Jim Caligiuri, No Depression

“…songs wrapped around rootsy arrangements so casually perfect that you’ll need a twelve step group to dislodge your ears from the sheer pleasure.”-Sing Out! Magazine

“I feel like I should just save a spot on my end of year list every year for whatever Matt the Electrician has done.”, Terry Sawyer’s Best-of-2003 list

"Matt the Electrician proves singer/songwriters can be funny without being clowns and thoughtful without being overwrought."-Brian Baker, Amplifier

Matt stays busy gigging all over the country, and has recently toured as support with Bob Schneider, The Weepies, and Melissa Ferrick.

Lots of fun
I recently discovered MtE & love his music. Great acoustic guitar & lots of un!

Great new music from MTE
This is classic Matt the Electrician. It has been a few years since his last CD and it was worth the wait. I have been a fan of his for almost 4 years now and this new CD did not let me down. The best tracks are "Happy Ending", "Change the Subject" and "My Dog". Matt's ability to be poetic with the mundane is very present in these songs...all of them are just damn good!

Fantastic! Matt at his usual brilliance. Gotta hear this!
I must agree with everything else said about this disc. Simple, touching and enjoyable. The simplicity grabs you, the deeper meanings bring you back again and again. It is now on my regular play list.

Matt do Many Things Right.
This CD is a wonderful new flavor from Matt the Electrician. If you've listened to his other albums than this CD is a must, as Matt's sound continues to grow with him and out of him!

I'm hooked.
Great mix of fun(ny) and some more serious songs. I suggest listening to it the entire way through on a long car ride!

This cd starts out very strong and never lets up! Great acoustic music!

Better Than I Expected. . .
From prior experience with MtE, I expect a lot. I've developed a bond with the sweet truths in their art. It's like a friend to me when I'm road tripping or needing a pick-me-up. Long Way Home and Baseball Song have raised a very high bar that One Thing Right has catapulted over. There's a consistency here that shakes my booty and makes me laugh. I'm not allergic to My Dog and I don't need a pooper scooper, either. These guys are reaching smoother depths with the maturation of just a few years and the riffs just keep getting better. Kudos!

I always look foward to hearing new music from mte...worth waiting for!
Enjoyed all the songs, can't wait to hear them live!
