You don't have to be old and gray to have stories to tell from your life. In Miranda Townsend's case, at 16, she has plenty of stories to tell.
Ever since Miranda Townsend was very little, she has been destined for a career in music. Her mother always told her that she was singing before she was even able to talk.
At the tender age of eight, she joined the adult choir at Buckhall United Methodist Church and was singing solos even then! Opportunities soon sprang up to sing at weddings, church and school functions, and later college, semi-pro, and pro sporting events.
Vocal lessons followed, as she began to feel that her interests were in Country Music.
"I just find Country Music meaningful and think the lyrics are easy to relate to. I've always enjoyed songs that easily expressed the feelings so many people feel everyday".
At the age of 15, she took a trip to Nashville in hopes of being able to create an album that would have a country feeling with inspirational lyrics. She wanted to have a hand in writing songs that she could relate to, and sing from her heart. It was in Nashville that she would hook up with producer and songwriter Eric Copeland of Creative Soul Records. They quickly began writing songs drawn from her heart and the life experiences of her family.
The result is a ten song collection called "Stories From My Life", Miranda's debut release on Creative Soul Records. It features a who's who of Nashville's finest, including guitarist Jon Willis (Kenny Chesney), guitarist Tom Hemby (Rob Thomas, Faith Hill, Barry Manilow), steel guitar legend Dan Dugmore (Faith Hill, Leann Rimes), bassist Gary Lunn (Toby Keith, Vince Gill), and drummer Lonnie Wilson (Carrie Underwood). Copeland also brought in Grammy winning engineer Ronnie Brookshire (Cindy Morgan, Michael W. Smith) to track and mix the project.
"All of my songs are about family members, the ups and downs of long-lasting love relationships, and really just my own personal feelings on life. I am truly blessed by God to get an opportunity to record an album with all these wonderful musicians, and then get out and share it with the world. Along with having loving family members and friends that support me in every way they can, it's just an amazing journey!"
And with that journey will come even more stories from her life...

One of the best CDs I have ever bought!
author: Jon Williams
Full disclosure; I am 48 and I know Miranda and her family although not well. With that said my opinion of her CD in all honesty is not swayed by this. I have purchased a few 45s, LPs, 8-Tracks, cassettes, and CDs in my life and have owned and listened to everything from Rock to Metal to Pop to Country to Country Pop and, (you get the idea) and this is perhaps one of the best or at least better CDs that I have bought, honest. The first time I loaded it up in my CD changer and listened to it I was blown away! There is nothing not to like about this CD. Most likely you have never heard of Miranda Townsend so just take note of the musicians who sat in for the music tracks and that should tell you just how good it really is. I have passed the CD around my office and everyone who listened to it thought it was very good and a number of them bought it, autographed of course. Miranda is very good now at just sixteen and if given the opportunity, could be one of the next big stars. Buy the CD, I do not think you will be disappointed.

At first blush, this CD has a 'young' feel to it. But after listening more closely to the lyrics, I found much more mature and important topics. It is a rare thing to find such wisdom in the words of someone so young.
