Deck Sachse records and performs under the name Mission to the Sea.
Mission to the Sea's latest release, RED LIGHT, contains songs that could be categorized as jazz and latin-infused alt/folk.
RED LIGHT was produced and recorded by Steven Collins (of Deadman; see www.deadmanonline.com). Collins has worked with the likes of producers Mark Howard and Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2, Tom Waits, Willie Nelson). Those influences are apparent in the production on RED LIGHT, where Collins attempted to capture a sound somewhere between Joao Gilberto and Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star).
Mission to the Sea is currently based in Dallas, Texas.

Great band, great songs. It would have been a 5, but the production is a little muddy. I have to turn up the stereo and turn the bass down to make it sound decent.
