Album Notes

The music of Muaddib manifests from my adventures and studies in Spain, Cuba and the United States where I played flamenco, son, classical, folk and rock music. Now I live in New York City, composing, performing and recording new acoustic music.

A delight of music, rhythms and lyrics. A new Genre!
author: Dr. Jean Henrikson

This music is a delight to the ear. There is new combination of sound that includes rhythms from classical, jazz, Cuba, and grunge! Enough of each of these combines to virtually constitutute a new genre. I am taken with the mood and the emotion that infiltrates the pieces, as well as the lyrics of gratitude and undersstanding. This is a young artist that is worthy of the title genius. I am watching him closely to see how fast and how far he climbs the ladder. I want to hear moe from him----soon.

A new sound from a very talented guy

This CD has a new sound to it that fuses Cuban rhythms, Dylan, pop and classical guitar in a way I've never heard before. Nate Metzker's interest in Buddhist and spiritual thought brings lyrics and ideas to his songs that are fresh and interesting. I highly recommend this CD and I'll definitely track the artist's career. I suspect we'll hear a lot more about him.
