The View From Here

You can't begin to appreciate just how good this CD is in one or two sittings. There are layers upon layers of depth and musical complexity beneath sweet melodies that wrap the soul in a warm blanket. Far above and beyond the usual mass produced record label fare. It is like coming home and smelling your granny's cooking on the stove.

Michael Mucklow - The View From Here
author: Department of Virtuosity (Poland)
Mr. Mucklow played hard rock and heavy metal in the past, collaborating with such bands like Praise & Worship and Purple Mountain Matinee. Aforementioned stuff is his second solo album recorded after the debut "Clearly". It must be mentioned that "The View From Here" has nothing to do with hard rock music, not to mention heavy metal.
Michael was determined to compose a healing and relaxing music on classical guitar as a contrast against his previous bands. Every tone performed by him reminds me of rain drops falling down the leaves in the wood. It's nothing, but nature music that tickles our ears with brisk and fresh tones. All sounds are soft, mild and gentle, so it can be associated with new age style. I think that "The View From Here" should be enjoyed by the fans of Lino Alessio, Acoustic Alchemy, Tommy Emmanuel and Aaron Pearson's first solo album. Briefly put, Michael wrote the music meant for peace and harmony!
