Muldoon’s Picnic are a five-part harmony singing group based in the lovely green city of Glasgow. We sing in a range of styles from the sublime to the ridiculous focussing on our own arangements of traditional song from around the world, in languages including French, Italian, Welsh, Bulgarian, Croatian, Georgian, Hebrew, Luganda and Sotho. We also have an interest in the American shapenote or Sacred Harp tradition.
"Complicated harmonies, very well put together . . . compelling listening"
"Very accomplished, very loud and very international in their repertoire"
"Spine-tingling harmonies . . . stunned us with their singing and sense of fun"
"If you haven’t come across this wonderful group before, prepare to be amazed"
"Can anyone better Muldoons?"
Reviews of Gingham Down:
“A fascinating . . . whistle-stop Cook’s Tour of acappella musics. Tonally, each member of the group is commendably secure and individual are lines firmly and confidently managed with a keen sense of each one’s place within the overall scheme of things . . . there’s a sure-footed and healthily alfresco feel to this idiosyncratic musical picnic that’s very winning” (David Kidman, NetRhythms.com)
“Anyone who has seen their live stage act will know that their presentation is lively and fun loving as well as highly professional and this atmosphere comes across well on this recording.” (Derek Gifford, Folk Northwest magazine)

Great folk harmony.
author: Richard Pascoe
I bought this for my wife for Christmas, as she really enjoys good quality a cappella folk music. This certainly hits the mark. Interesting harmonies sung with honest skill, with a range of tunes you quickly warm too. A it is a real range of music, with changes in style and pace drawing you back into the cd at regular intervals.
