Songwriter, producer and guitarist Jeff Muller is joined on Jes Grew by many of the greatest roots music artists from the Mid-Atlantic area. Vocalists include the sultry Meg Murray (who has worked with Timbaland), Wammy-award winner Mary Ann Redmond, blue-eyed soul crooner (who also puts in a mean turn on the Hammond B-3 organ) Tommy Lepson, Kerrville New Folk award winner Scott Carter, and former P-Funk sideman Michael McHenry. The album also features some of the last recorded work of the incredible Eva Cassidy. Other notable performers on the record are: saxophonists Tim Eyermann (Grammy nominee and Larry Coryell sideman) and Alex Holland (Gatemouth Brown, Pinetop Perkins), bassist John Previti (Danny Gatton), pianist Tom Roberts (Leon Redbone), drummer Timm Biery (Danny Gatton, Nils Lofgren, Deanna Bogart), and guitarist Joe Yanovich (Vincent Nguini), as well as many other talented musicians.
