The Adventures of Mumbo Gumbo (July 97) - the long-awaited LIVE CD includes some of Gumbos most crowd-pleasing cover tunes done in Gumbo's own savory style: the boogie stomp of "Hop Skip and a Jump", a swampified rendition of Sly Stone's "Everyday People", plus incredible live versions of Mumbo Gumbo originals like "Barbecue", "The Wrong Medicine", and "Burnin' in Love." If you ever wished great live bands would really hang it all out on CD--dirt and all--this album is for you. The Adventures of Mumbo Gumbo will rock you, charm you, and leave you grinning from ear to ear.

This is the whole center of the Mumbo Gmbo experience for me.
There was nothing that I did not enjoy on this CD. I have all of the CD's except Seven.
There is nothing about this CD that would not make you jump up and dance. I chose this CD to paly at my husband candlelight vivil. He introduced me to Mumbo Gumbo as he was in the music business in Reno. He was muredred by a stranger last Sept. by a stranger. WE all knew that he was with us as soon as the music began. Thanks MG for bringing us so much joy over the years.

I am from the Sacto area and have gone to see you guys at numerous events. I am now living back in maine and my wife has never heard you. I bought the disc so she could hear your group. She loves it. We will be moving back to the area in about 3-4 yrs then she can see you in person. Thanks for all the great music and keep up the good work..
