Album Notes

Bill Mumy is back with a vengeance. His new disc, Carnival Sky, is a stripped down, back to basics project featuring twelve new original songs. The album is full of powerful commentary in a bluesy roots-rock arena. Carnival Sky is definitely one of Bill’s strongest efforts to date. It is must have for real music fans.

More great music coming from Bill Mumy. How this man continues to maintain such creativity is something to ponder! This man seems to create music the way many of us breathe and has been quite prolific the past few years, producing multiple albums. Carnival Sky is just one more that is a must have for your collection. To try and enumerate the qualities of each song would be fruitless without being able to just hear them. The song mix is amazing. Some songs will have you back in time, others almost in tears. In my opinion this is one of Bill's best albums. If you don't purchase this music, you will be the one missing out.

This is a beautiful blend of rock, blues and folk music in one CD. I love how the music intertwines perfectly with the vocals throughout this CD. It’s like the vocals ask and each instrument will reply in a balanced stream of beautiful music. Like the sky from cloudy to foggy to blue this CD has a beautiful variety of musical notes and lyrics from rock to folk to blues.

THE NEXT BIG THING!

"Carnival Sky" is a celebration of all aspects of life. This album is valiant, moody, stark, raw, sparse, genuine and very deep with emotions. A lot of people are going to be able to relate to these songs. These songs deal with topics of mortality, betrayal, imagined and real love, overcoming crisis and many more serious issues. This album is definitely different from all of the rest of Bill's cds. It's Mumy music stripped to the core of Bill's soul. Very real. Inner thoughts set to an almost haunting musical arrangement with no boundaries. His voice is better than ever with strong, powerful vocals like you wouldn't believe. There are some fun, upbeat melodies with great grooves. The acoustic solo songs will blow your mind. All of these songs take you on a journey to where you really feel like you are the characters that Bill writes about. They really make you stop and think about life and all that is going on in the world right now. The music has a certain feel to it that is indescribable. You would have to listen to it to really see what I mean. Unbelievable, the way Bill's mind works and the way he weaves his lyrics and music together to where the magic unwinds and you have such a great cd as this. You really feel like you know each of these characters in each song as Bill draws you into their lives. No words really can describe it. Really. Truly, this is a cd that you don't want to miss. I could not imagine not having these songs. The highlights to me are: A Garden Turned to Weeds Red Light Burning Blizzard of Time When It Comes From One of the Guys Long Enough to Tell No Man's Land Scene of the Crime
