One word sums up Murge. Passion. Without it music is nothing. It's everything. It is what keeps us going when there is nothing else to hang on to. There is nothing like creating a song and performing it over and over until the hairs on your arms are permanently standing on end. There is nothing like seeing someone sing a lyric or two. There is nothing like the feeling of clarity when your on stage. There is nothing like being a band of musicians with different influences and opinions coming together to create a unique and signature sound. That is Murge.

Whether you like to be hard rocked, emotionally moved, or hooked into a catchy melody, Murge strives to catch you in the moment. Your just as likely to hear a straight up funk song, as you are to hear a vein popping out of the neck hard rock song or a thoughtful melody you can't get out of you head. In the short time Murge has been together as a band they have accomplished a lot. Murge was the runner up in the American Band Competition in 2004, featured on 93X Loud and Local, on the FOX Morning show Soundcheck and a 2004 Finalist in the Zippo Hot Tour for Minneapolis
